10 Min. Inspiration: RELAX it’s Only Life!

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe via rss -or- inspiration, psychology, blogging

With 10 minutes until recess is over I thought I’d just sit down and write a straight-forward post about inpsiration.

A couple people at my workplace have been extra stressed lately. One actually decided the pressure was too much and so she resigned. This is what over-stress can do to us, it can cause us to “resign” in a much larger sense.

When we are inspired, we are magically motivated. When you have that moment of clarity with an idea so vivid you can see it materialize before you, nothing can stop you then. But all too often, small mistakes and failures along the way sap our motivation and leave us tired, depressed, and yes STRESSED OUT! So what can we do?

Let me tell you 3 items that work for me in the areas of Inpsiration and relaxation (two “tion’s” that you shouldn’t “shun” - sorry, just got inspired by that quip LOL).

Inspiration:

  1. Make a CD of the songs you like and put on in your car as well as a copy in your place of work (if you can listen to music) You can also put it on your MP3 player.
  2. Eat something for breakfast. My wife and I have been learning how powerful of a thing this is for your body and mind.
  3. Listen to someone. You’d be amazed how when we close our mouths, we begin to see that we don’t have it as bad as we thought.

Relaxation:

  1. Go to the beach and that’s an order. If you are not on a coast, then any body of water with sand will do!
  2. Take a day off. This is MEDICALLY NECESSARY sometimes so do it and find your inspiration make you even more effective.
  3. Imagine you are a child in your world. This will give you new eyes to look around with!

10 minutes are up! What do you do to get inspired? to relax?

great post! I normally listen to music to ease stress, too. A little living room dancing with the kids to MMMBop usually has me laughing in no time :) I love when the music is loud enough to thump right through your body. I know not many people like that, but it’s too hard to concentrate on anything other than dancing then!!

Speaking of dancing, I also think dancing and exercise of any kind is great to help burn off some excess stress energy. Right now I am bellydancing, but I’m also quite a tap dancer, too…and ok, I do learn my kids cheerleading routines…can’t help myself. I see those pompons and I just lose all control :)

I believe relaxing before being inspired is necessary. We have to be in a relatively good place to catch the lesson of inspiration no matter how big or small.

Stress can break some of the strongest! However, I find that reaching up is the only way to melt my troubles so that I may move forward with success.

Giveaways all this week!

Cool on the giveaways! One thing about looking up . . . it’s a “sure thing” you’ll see something! Nice comment and deep wisdom.

I used dancing, music, and walking for years, and now getting lost in my writing has replaced dancing for the most part. It is my sanity and relaxation. Some months one still seems to win over the other. Looking through a child’s eyes at the world can’t help but work, and I have taken those medically necessary days before, they do work.
