eBay Stories Wanted
I wrote once about the accidental garage sale. The “garage sale” as a cultural item has gone global now with the advent of eBay. I’ve been looking for a few things in the garage to “liquidate” :) If Ihave some success I may go “ebay-garage-sale-ing” this Saturday. I could make a little profit, or if nothing else . . . some material for an ebay/Garage Sale type blog post next week. I guess we’ll see what happens. Anybody have some of those eBay stories experiences to share? Don’t be shy!

I have an ebay story! It was actually one of my first experiences selling with ebay many years ago. I had this set of 4 Holly Hobbie decorator plates that had been sitting in a box in my garage for years, only to appear at my once a year garage sales. I had those things marked for $1 each and never had any takers.
I decided to give ebay a try with the rest of my junk and I listed all four plates together as a set for $5.00. Within hours, they were up to almost $100 and I ended up selling for almost $120.00! Apparantly, they are collectors items but I couldn’t give them away at my garage sales!
Havent had a garage sale since :) Last year I found these closeout initialed girls lunchboxes which were very cute for 75 cents each at BigLots. Sold each and every one of them (over 100, I think) for anywhere between $8.95 and $24.00!!! I love ebay!
