Longer Bio:

Welcome to “Postcards from the Funny Farm.”

If a blog post is like an intersection in the universe, why not make it a nice stop?

Hi there, I’m Damien Riley: dad, teacher, author in Southern California. I keep an eye on pop culture, the news, and humor all around us. I have an MA in English with an emphasis in language, writing and rhetoric. I’m a published writer and I enjoy both adding new topics for discussion and networking through this blog.

I’ve enjoyed writing as long as I can remember and mostly I can look back and see I was a born blogger when the kids in 4th grade would beg me to “act out” my book reports in front of the class.

In addition to publishing on this blog, I write articles across the web. Here’s a link to an archived list

Simply put this is a personal online journal written on a blog platform, yes, a traditional weblog about whatever. In his “About” section–Damien links to his CV, gives the visitor stated reasons to read his blog, encourages subscription and includes a twitter widget so the visitor may even know what Damien is about at the moment!
