Some Dreams Develop, Materialize, and Catch you Off Guard

When you apply yourself to your work or your passionate hobbies, you may find there is no reward at first. The question then becomes: “Are you gonna stick with it or quit?” I’ve quit on my dreams a few times through the years and let me tell you, I have my regrets for that. The funny thing about dreams is that you may be closer than you ever imagined at those times when you think you are nowhere. Those are the “tests” where you need to hang on. When I was 19 years old, playing frat houses and small clubs in my band, I would never have guessed that being 38 and posting on MySpace about my thrice a year show was “arrival,” but it feels like that now. Maybe it was just that my dream was wrong. Maybe I needed some years to redefine my dream. That is in essence what has occurred. I am celebrating with you in your dream realized! It’s wonderful to know that what you’ve desired is finally happening. 

I remember that feeling of arrival when I was the speaker at a women’s conference.
