Blog Safari 2-1-08

It was another great week for a blog safari. Taken primarily from my top referring blogs, these are what I liked most jeeping through the jungle last week. If you made the list, great job! You got a well-deserved stumble. Keep up the good work.

Shower the People

I went to the hardware store and bought the necessary parts. Armed with my favorite tools (a wooden spoon and a wrench) and my lowest cut jeans (sometimes I need props to get into character), I twisted off the old spout, taped up the new one and twisted that one back onto the pipe in the wall.

Retro Commercial-Miller Lite

One of my favorite series of commercials is the “Miller Lite” ads made during the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Featuring a combination of actors and sports figures, these spots were some of the funniest on TV. Even if the sporting event you were watching turned out to be a dud, you could usually count on the “Miller Lite” gang to keep you entertained during commercial breaks.

Search Engine Myths and Lies

I’ve heard more SEO advice than I can shake a very large stick at over the years, tonnes and tonnes of it. The only people who really know how it all works are the guys that code it, and they stay fairly tight-lipped.

Rainy Day Reflections

Hugs and laughter warm the soul, if not the fingers. The sound of raindrops on wet pavement strike a jaunty staccato. The smell of fresh, clean, newness pervades the air.

-Lives Less Ordinary

In Defense of This …

Next time you’re out grocery shopping, and you pop into your specialty store (organic, really nice fruit and veg, butchers etc.), make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to tell them what you think of them for making money out of you but giving you what you want in exchange for $.
