Blogs you shouldn’t miss on your down-time over the holidays:
- Projectionist: A tumblelog - The first known Tumblelog. I don’t know this author, but the tumbles are always entertaining.
- Party of Five - My wife’s blog. She doesn’t that often lately, but when she does it’s always good stuff.
- The Outboard Brain Of A Geek - State of the art blogger who is a geek for a living. I’d like to thank Nick for befriending me and my blog. Nick has excellent posts that entertain, inspire, and educate.
- Tumbled Words - Marcia! An online diarist after my own heart.
- Lorelle on WordPress - One of my biggest mentors of online writing!
- Live Tardy - The creator of the T1 theme I use for this blog. I have a lot of respect for this guy and his work. His online diary is a tmblelog.
- This Eclectic Life - Shelly has a great blog with a mammoth following. Besides that, she’s a good person who does “blog charity” work for kids with cancer.
- Derek Semmler dot com - Derek is a cool coder. He also has an excellent blog, he has become a good online friend, and he posts thought provoking posts about pop culture, fatherhood, and blogging issues.
- Weblog Tools Collection - Every blogger needs to have this on their subscription list. Weekly new themes and plugins are the mainstay of this blog.
- Life is RANTastic! - Jessica the Rock Chick. Like “This Eclectic Life,” she has a huge following. She writes about books, movies, tv, family, and general life issues. She has become like a trusted friend. The internet is amazing how it can bring about such friendships.
- Miscellaneous Matters - This blogger is up front about her convictions and yet not preachy. She’s a great person and her blog is reguarly updated with quality writing, videos, and snippets from her life. I highly recommend hers as online diary blog reading.

Wow, to be in such company… Yours should be there, too. Oh, we are reading yours, grin!
Thanks, Damien, for the kind words!
Hey you are welcome. Thank you for your friendship this year!
Thank you for the plug and the nice words!!! I am flattered and find myself in some great company on your list and your blog :)Jessica
I love lists like this as it always introduces me to new bloggers doing great things. Thanks, and thanks for the inclusion and the kind words. I’m blushing. :D
I’m honored to hear the good comment.
Thanks for the list too - I’ve included a few new blogs to my daily read. I’m looking forward to this blog "Season!"
Thanks.
@Jessica the Rock Chick: LOL. You got me again! Everytime I change my comments.php file out you become "Jessica the Rock ‘Chi’." Well, once again I changed the name character limit form 20-30 just for you! Thanks for keeping me on my toes.
@Lorelle: Hey you are so welcome. I really appreciate you in how you provide real life writing chanllenges to your readers instead of all technical or MMOL stuff as other mega-bloggers seem caught up in. I appreciate your blog a lot.
@Kirk: Well, (hangs head) I had to put T1 on the back burner in favor of this one for now. I have no idea why, but my content on T1 causes IE to crash! Even when I put in a fresh install. As usual, it’s probably something I am missing so stay tuned. T1 is one of the best themes I’ve come across this year. It’s also, as you know, a SANDBOX based theme. Funny how that seems to be a recurring theme with all my favorites!
Keep the good Tumbles coming my friend! And watch this for the future of blogging: "Category styling." Mark my words.
I’m sorry to hear T1 isn’t working for you. Let me know the details of what’s going on in the forum, and I’ll see what I can figure out for you.
Sandbox is awesome for so many reasons.
@Kirk T: Hey buddy. Your theme is the bomb. I don’t know what my issues are with it but it hangs and sometimes crashes in Explorer. Most of my readers run Explorer so I had to revert back to this one that seems to load quick and without issues. I’ll leave a ticket over there, but rest assured this is probably an issue with my feed/content as opposed to the structure of your theme.
Thanks for your kind words. I had to add it to my sidebar with a link to you. You’re a good man Damien!
You’re welcome! :)
