Bono gives weight to proposed education bill

Now this is the kind of “No Child Left Behind” that I agree with.  Instead of mandated 100% proficiency on a standardized test once a year for every child (or the teachers and principals get the axe), this policy aims to provide free schooling to millions of African children by 2015.  A MUCH more humane and honorable approach to an educational system’s goal.  Not that academics are all bad, but they aren’t the hope-all-end-all of what education is about. This article gave me some hope for America’s focus.  It is the content over style that I applaud with:
