Commonly Misspelled Words on Blogs

oilI stumbled on a blog post this afternoon that lists  common spelling errors made by bloggers.  They aren’t mistakes I make, but I have taught these common errors for years as a teacher. I know that they can seem difficult to many blog writers.  I’m linking this article because I see these errors all the time in the blogosphere.  It’s a concise explanation. If spelling is not your cup of tea, this post might be a good reference tool for you.  Maybe one day, if people show interest, I’ll make my own more comprehensive spelling/grammar/usage page for bloggers.  For now, check out the post linked below:

You’re right that those are very common mistakes and can be found with relative ease on many sites. In my close group of friends, we give each other grief when one of us makes these mistakes in an email.

Often times I think people make these mistakes when they don’t take their time in typing or proof-reading their material. Thanks for linking to that article.

Yes, but how do you stop someone from spelling “hawt” instead of “hot”?

Although HAWT is a good one for posts on Haley Scarnato and other legs oriented articles LOL. Kinna brings out that primal spelling hence meaning. Well, more banal than primal.
