Democrats to Fund 100 Billion for Iraq War With No Pullout Date

Language issue: semantics of the word “billion.”
How much is 100 billion dollars? It’s abstract. Here’s a few signposts toward understanding:

Every 8 hours and 20 minutes, the U.S. Government spends another billion dollars. (Thank us very much.) A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, let’s put a billion into perspective. A billion seconds ago, it was 1959.

A billion minutes ago, Jesus was alive.
A billion hours ago, our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.

Of course, the current public debt is well over $7 Trillion dollars.

I’ll save trillion for another day . . .

Mind boggling! I do well to comprehend “hundreds.”

You have to wonder why no one is saying: “Forget billions, we are 7 trillion in debt!” How many bounced check fees does that equal??? I hope B of A is not financing this. Thanks for the comment.
