Go WordPress, Go Big, Go SandBox

The Sandbox Designs Competition for WordPressI woke up this morning with the sole desire to do nothing other than create my own theme. Guess what? With the help of the SandBox theme, my wife’s PhotoShop skills, and a SandBox skin called Butterfly, I achieved my goal!

If you have struggled with themes and found they don’t always perform the way you want them to: you need to try the Sandbox. In the same way, if you have longed as I have to make your own theme custom suited to your blog and your style but got confused by the code, you need to try the SandBox. As you know, I archive all the tech information I write to the Online Diarists Forum. If interested in hearing more about the tweaking possible using the SandBox, or to get the link to a large set of amazing Sandbox skins for your blog, head over there and join the discussion on this topic: The Sandbox Theme and “Skins” for the ...

This blog and your tweaking has become a true passion. Who wakes up with the sole purpose to design their own theme? It’s your creative side, I know. I’m already missing the black mysterious side of Riley Central.

I’m sure posts like this are boring if you’re not on WordPress . . . I’ll try and get back to the “dark” stuff tomorrow (?) Not that I disagree . . . just not a side of me I thought I had revealed! Hope you have an awesome Monday!!!

Silly, I meant dark as in your previous theme with the “black background.”

Now I’m mixed up, dark was referring to the mysterious. Geez who knew commenting could be so difficult. I’m in a giggle fit over this!

I’ve been thinking of trying my hand at Wordpress themes, and this looks perfect. I see people doing some amazing stuff, and yet can’t find any of those really cool layouts available for download.

Will definitely give Sandbox a try, since CSS should make life easier when it comes to design!

I like this one, although, I was really liking the dark blue one, too. I think the blue one was a better reflection of your personality :) Not that you are blue, it was just more vivid…

I do like this one, though. Maybe I’ll fool with it and see if I can save my Wordpress blog…

You should upload Sandbox and all the themes that won the competition. You’ll have a lot of fun changing themes and when you find one that will work with your header, start tweaking! As always, let me know if I can help!

Damien, I forgot to answer the question and it dumped my brilliant comment… Some comment boxes will hold it…

Sandbox is great, I used some of the winning designs awhile. I like this one you and Sarah have done. Everyday I blog I wish I had taken classes to design my own… but then I probably would never stick with one anyway… Can you?

I did like the blue though my eyes rebelled a bit.

Next week I will be able to play catchup on the forum… No one will be around to remind me to get off the computer, grin.

That’s a good word on the spam question plugin. I will research that right now!
