Today I got a lot done and I’m posting 3 more “after pics,” although I still have to go in on the weekend to do some final polishing. As the Karate Kid’s Mr. Miagee might say “After AFTER” pics will be posted then! Here you see I got the desk groups squared away (no pun intended). There isn’t any fun elementary school art up yet . . . that comes later. Like blogs, classrooms must be built from the inside out. It’s a tool with many features. Actually I did a lot after that picture was taken. Right now I am "mid-way" done. I'm starting with 30 students. It's gonna be a strong year academically, I can feel it! Setting up a classroom is great when you are "in the zone" but parts of it are slow and tedious. I guess every job has its thorns. Yeah it was a lot of work. My mom taught for 20 years! Yeah, we get the students Monday and it is set to be an amazing year. We're a low socio economic area and yet our scores are rising faster than the rich kids. I can appreciate the work you do a little bit because my wife teaches preschool and she has been spending so much time getting things ready to take in to school. Unfortunately, they have to clear everything out at the end of the year and bring it all back the following year as the school is used for other things during the summer.
