Postcards from the Funny Farm

I was flattered to be asked to write about music education in schools, and the importance thereof, by Jessica the Rock Chick over at [Life is RANTastic!] . Stay tuned for details and when the post will be up. It was a fun article to write. I went back through my education and realized what I already knew: Music education is invaluable to a kid in this world for a number of reasons. You can read about the “blogathon” my post is part of over there. I may post other details about this exciting event so watch for that.

This was a portion of an email to me containing details on the event:

I was going to use your post during the actual Blogfest which is running for 24 hours starting at 6 am Pacific Time on July 28th. In order to participate, I have to have a new blog entry during that 24 hour time period AT least once every 30 minutes—round the clock! Since I’m blogging for music education, I kind of thought having different opinions/stories would be a good thing.
