Thanks for this–a lot of us need an alternative way to value our blog efforts. I think there are simply too many numbers out there, so it’s easy for them to overshadow the real meaning of your writing. For me, if I helped someone, I win. If I made someone laugh, I win. If I made someone think, I win. At least, I need to keep reminding myself of that in between checking stats and ratings. ;)

One thing I have learned to do when elaborating in a comment is every once in a while doing a select all/copy so I have it saved in my clipboard.

Glad to hear you are still setting and measuring goals. I tell you I would have quit all this by now unless I saw that path to blogging sanity.
