NFL’s Vick faces media outrage in dog-fight case | Sports | Reuters

I was glad to hear that Vick’s support of cruel dog fighting has gotten him indicted. Lets hope it isn’t another case of celebrity justice. Dog fighting is a terrible crime against animals. What I’d like to see is more media attention on a macabre sport you’ve heard called “cock fighting.” It’s a sad day when Jay Leno has to be the one to raise awareness by showing us this horrific, yet eye-opening video. Awareness is the opposite of ignorance . . .

I’m hoping that the new sheriff in town (Roger Goodell) doesn’t take it easy on Vick because he is a superstar. Up until this point, the players he has suspended have not been of the same star status as Vick.

Good point. It will be interesting to watch. We’ve seen the Paris Hilton breach of justice here in California up close recently. It really is about the golden rule: Those with the gold make the rules. Fitting that I am serving Jury Duty tomorrow eh?
