Advantage Rent A Car has a website that makes car rental easier than ever before. Just like you can buy a train ticket or even a plane ticket online, fully automated, now Advantage has created a database and website to help you rent a car just as easily. They do it in 3 steps:

  1. Pick Up
  2. Select Vehicle -and-
  3. Drop Off

It’s all done according to your needs and your specifications. Talking to a human when ordering is sometimes nice, but if you’re like me, you enjoy doing business with an automated system just as much if not more. If you try this service out now, you can take advantage of their brilliant current deals. Last but not least, if you are into a luxury or convertible car deal, they have some great ones going on. This website will make your car renting way easier. Bookmark it!

Las Vegas Days Again

Friday, June 20th, 2008

I could write 1,000 posts about Vegas. It’s become one of my most favorite places to vacation. It makes sense since after all my wife and I got married there and had a great time doing so back in November of 2002. Vegas gave us its “off-color” blessing and we have been traveling back as much as we can every since.

The best place to stay is every place! But after that, I like the Luxor. It’s a wild Egyptian place that feels like a museum that rocks. The elevators, for examples, go up the pyramid diagonally and are labeled “inclinators.” If you’ve never rode in one you owe it to yourself.

We’ve been a few times in the summer and therefore start thinking about Vegas in the summer months. Now that we have our own pool, our backyard will have to suffice for now but I guarantee you we will be back. We go nearly every year.

I think our best vacation though was our wedding. It consisted of a stay at the Luxor, the Blue Man Group show (amazing), a trip to the movies, the MnM Museum, the World of Coke, and some yes … time in the all too magnetic casinos! They are everywhere and each on has different lures. So far, we’ve had great times in Vegas but none has topped the wedding one! Did I mention it’s a great place to get hitched ;) If I haven’t said enough, make sure you check out Things to do in Las Vegas for yourself! To close, make sure you take advantage of the special promotion where a person can win a handheld GPS by simply signing up for a newsletter at Trusted Tours & Attractions.

If you are planning a trip, make sure you check out the online travel guides.

My next vacation, btw, is set! Things to do in New York City are many. The one I want to do is see a taping of Dave Letterman’s Late Show.

DialaFlight = Your Best Weekend

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

Dave Sharp has been my guitar hero since I was a kid. If you’ve read this blog for an extended period of time, you probably know that. One summer I got to actually meet and play guitar with the guy. It was such an amazing summer vacation for me. I traveled down to where he was and we would play coffee houses and bars in between recording my music. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to top that summer vacation … but never say never right? This post is about a company called DialaFlight that can make these sorts of trips happen … for less! Check it out:

For years I have read on the Dave Sharp forums about music festivals and pow-wows with other fans in places from Salford, UK to Toronto and wanted forlornly to get myself over there. Usually it’s the money that holds me back, but unfortunately I come up with a motherlode of other excuses. Very soon I plan to finally go to an event like this. When I do I will use a company I found called Dialaflight that offers the cheapest flights to Toronto.

Their consultants take all your info over the phone and create an itenerary for you that is top notch and highly competitive price-wise. If you are looking for a great travel agency that does it all for you in the UK, Alaska, Toronto regions, check these guys out.
