What do You Think of Obama?

Obama represents the best chance for a new politics of civility and purpose.
I’ve heard Obama say a lot of things and yet, I still don’t feel like I know what he stands for. I get it that he would be the first black President, that to me is exciting. But what about policy? I keep hearing about universal healthcare. If healthcare becomes universal, will I get to keep the hundreds per month currently taken out of my paycheck for mine? Just a thought.

I don’t know how exactly universal health care works, but I do know that the US is the only industrialized nation without it. My guess is that we will pay for health insurance one way or another. Maybe universal health care makes it more affordable? Really, I have no idea. I think this election is going to be so interesting. In my opinion, there are a lot of good candidates and we may just see our first African American or female president! I really like Barack Obama. When he speaks, I get a genuine impression that he truly cares about people. Perhaps he’s just a great performer, we will see. I like Hillary Clinton, too! What I’m liking most is that there are several candidates that I like. I actually feel positive about voting and not feeling like I’m casting a vote for what I consider to be the lesser or two evils. I can’t wait to see how this whole election turns out!
